Our Fall Open Houses are in-person events at our main campus in Potsdam, New York, and are a full day filled with opportunities for you to connect with students, faculty and staff and better understand what life at Clarkson is all about.

Fall Open Houses are perfect for students interested in either Clarkson University or The Clarkson School for Fall 2025 entry, as well as current college students looking to transfer to Clarkson for Spring 2025 and beyond.

Schedule of Activities

Check-In & Light Breakfast
8 - 10 a.m., Educational Resources Center
Check in to let us know you've arrived and grab your welcome packet, then enjoy a seasonal breakfast snack while walking around our Engineering and Applied Sciences Meet and Greet and/or Clarkson Fair!

Early Bird Campus Tours 
Leaving at 8:15 a.m., 8:30 a.m., 8:45 a.m. and 9 a.m. from the Student Center
Take a student life campus tour of our main Clarkson campus, including stops at major student life buildings, athletic facilities and a residence hall room. This tour will be the same as the tour offered in the afternoon. Tours will be led by current students. Pre-registration is required and space is limited. Guests will be escorted to the tour location upon check in. 

Admissions and Financial Aid Presentation 
8:45 a.m. & 9:15 a.m., Educational Resources Center 1501
Learn more about applying to Clarkson as well as our financial aid opportunities to ensure an affordable Clarkson education. 

Coulter School of Engineering and Applied Sciences Meet and Greet 
9 - 10 a.m., Educational Resources Center Atrium
Enjoy coffee and seasonal breakfast snacks with members of our Coulter School of Engineering and Applied Sciences including Dean William Jemison, faculty and students. Strike up a one-on-one conversation about the Clarkson Engineering experience.

Clarkson Fair 
9 - 10 a.m., Student Center 1st and 2nd floor concourses
Not sure exactly what programs you're most interested in? Stop by the Clarkson Fair and talk to staff from a number of support departments at Clarkson as well as faculty and student representatives from many of our academic programs from the Lewis School of Health & Life Sciences, Reh School of Business, and Institute for a Sustainable Environment.

Clarkson Senior Leadership members officially welcome you to Clarkson.

Academic Information Sessions
Attend up to two unique academic sessions. Session I will take place from 10:30 - 11:10 a.m. and Session II (identical to the first session) will take place from 11:15 a.m. - 12 p.m. We'll also offer a special Healthcare session at 11:15 a.m. for any student interested in pursuing a career in the healthcare field. 

Engineering Showcase
11:15 - 12:30 p.m., CAMP Atrium
Whether you're interested in racing Baja cars, building bridges, or anything in-between, make your rounds at our Engineering Showcase. Talk to students, faculty and staff about the incredible research, teams and clubs, labs and activities you can be a part of.

Buffet Lunch
12 - 1:30 p.m., Indoor Recreation Center
Enjoy a catered lunch at our Indoor Recreation Center. Gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan and other food allergen meals will be provided. 

Clarkson Showcase

With 200+ student clubs and organizations, 13 engineering competition design teams, hands-on research opportunities, global service and study abroad programs, 20 varsity athletic teams, student business plan and innovation competitions, and more, we're sure you'll find something that gets you excited about joining our Golden Knight community. For students interested in transferring to Clarkson from another college, join us to hear about the transfer process, programs and financial aid.

Clarkson School Info Session

For students interested in starting college early through our Clarkson School program, join us to hear more about high school diploma options, the admissions process, financial aid and scholarships, the experience and more.  

Admission Interviews 
1 - 4 p.m., Holcroft House (Admissions building)
Think Clarkson is the place for you? Schedule an interview with one of our Admissions counselors while you are on campus. This is an optional, but important, part of the admissions process that can help solidify or confirm your decision. Pre-registration required and space is limited. 

Transfer Students

Students interested in transferring to Clarkson are welcome to attend any of our in person Fall Open Houses. Please register using the main event registration forms listed above. There will be a transfer-specific session in the afternoon.

All of our undergraduate programs are housed at our main campus in Potsdam, New York, just outside the six million acre Adirondack Park and a short drive from two of Canada's most notable cities - Ottawa and Montreal. Whether you're coming by car, plane, or bus, here are directions to our campus.
